Dr. May has been serving as Senior Pastor of Pleasant Valley South since 1997. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Augusta State and his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Seminary. He earned his Doctor of Ministries from Luther Rice Seminary. He and his wife Delaine have been married for 39 years.

Richard joined our staff in 2021. He received his Bachelors Degree in Religion at Liberty University and the Master of Divinity and Master of Religious Education degrees at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Richard authored his first book, Glory In The Church¸ in 2020. He is married to Denise and they have three children: Erin, Lane (now in heaven) and Haley.

Mark joined the staff of Pleasant Valley South in 2005. He leads our church choir with over 120 members. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Alabama and received a Masters of Religious Education at Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Kathy, have four children and nine grandchildren.

Ted joined our staff in 2018. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Science from Jacksonville State University and a Master of Arts in Leadership from Luther Rice Seminary. He is a retired Federal Probation officer. He previously served as a bi-vocational and interim pastor for over 20 years. He and his wife, Kim, have two children and one grandchild.

Eric Gargus joined our staff in December of 2022. He is married to Penelope Gargus. They have one young adult daughter, Aydenn, who is pursuing a career in the medical field. Tom joined the church staff in 2013. Tom is responsible for I.T. and coordinating all audio visuals including sound, video and media platforms for the church. He attended Floyd College, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Georgia State University. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters and two grandchildren.
