I watched the Atlanta news several weeks ago and was shocked by one story. Another case of road rage got out of hand. A man and a woman were driving different cars. Somehow, they made each other mad. Both exited their vehicles and began shouting at each other. Then the lady pulled a “dust buster” out of the vehicle and began hitting the man with her vacuum cleaner. Several other motorists rushed to the scene and held both of them until police arrived. She was charged with assault with a “dust buster”.
Paul wrote to Christians in Ephesians 4:26, “In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.” Christians may be angry at the right time, right place and for the right reason. For example, we should take a stand about sanctity of human life and other moral issues. Unhinged anger destroys our witness for Christ. By living a life led by the Holy Spirit, we learn to stay cool in explosive situations.
